Hey folks:
Thought I would tell everyone about the line-up of parties for Pride Week.
Unity no longer exists. Daniel Bellavance (former owner of Industry, current owner of 5ive. He is also the guy behind the Industry Reunion and one of the coutry's largest party promoters) has spear-headed a new weekend called PRISM
The parties include:

This is a non-profit event with all proceeds going to Pride Toronto

omg....i'm still recovering from last years 5 day marathon of parties....
weren't they originally going to book boa on the sunday night with Peter Rauhaufer or am i thinking of something else...
it basically looks like the same parties with a different name which is fine...nice to see the saturday party back at the auto building...kool haus was too rammed last year... |

Most of the parties are similar to last year's format. We're really trying to do something more inclusive and diverse with the Saturday Night party. A little less Circuity - at least early in the evening (ie. before 3:00) with cooler shows, decor and theme. (at this point we are spending almost $100,000 on decor and production, so it will be a totally immersive environment).
I heard rumours of the Boa event, but I think that was before unity decided to disband (we were already planning PRISM as a separate event at that point). We ended up with Peter, so not sure what transpired. I love him though (he's the only circuit DJ i like, actually.)

New News
Mark Oliver has been confirmed as the second DJ for Pride Ball Toronto.
Now there's some trance for all you gay (and open-minded straight) folks.

| i will definately be hitting as many of these up as i can. i didn't go last year but i heard from MANY people that it was really fun. |

| I probably won't hit any of the big events. I had a blast last year just in the beer tents and on the street. |

that's quite the deal considering the walk up covers will be anywhere from $30-$65 |
