I've got a hard eyeball on them now. How hard is it to transfer MP3 direct? Cost for 10G (1G would float my boat!)?
Inquiring minds want to know. Have been fascinated with the simple USB Jump Drive devices recently so I don't have to lug around CD-RWs. Would like to lighten up the bulk of a Walkman out and around exercising if economically reasonable. Has to play good. Volume on the IPod? How loud? $150 chump change if it works like I want.

yeah speaking of which, i was considering buying an mp3 player, but was leaning away from iPods since i don't have a mac and my comp can't handle iTunes :(, and also the whole battery crapping out deal
anyways, anyone know any good reliable mp3 players i can get that can hold a ton of music?
cause 10 or 20 gigs really doesn't seem like enough :p |

It's easy to transfer MP3's direct, Mine came with a firewire cable, but you can get a USB cable too. Transfer Rate is about 6MB/s. Volume is really loud if you crank it all the way up and have good headphones. (It's in loud with my Pioneer HDJ's). I paid 150 for it used from my friend, I think it's similiar used on ebay.
Also, if you dont want to use iTunes you can use a program called EPHPod that lets your transfer songs and playlists too.

they work on both macs and PCS, you can buy a mac ipod and convert it into a windows PC ipod
there are lots of other programs besides itunes like ephpod and other stuff
