| The next season will be the last... because James Gandolfini signed up for 2 years before this season started. James actually didnt want to keep doing the Sopranos show anymore when Season 4 ended, HBO had a big dispute with him, and he kept it going for 2 more years. |

Maybe he want's to do other things... He wanted a raise which he deserves since he carries the show on his back.
They did give him a raise.. After that he called the entire cast into his trailer.. Then what he did was he started a foundation and split the raise money between the whole cast (which he didn't have to do).
