Clubbing In New York

Hi People,
I'm coming over to New York for my 21st on the 13th April for 12 days and was wondering if any of you can give me some ideas of how much clubs are and were to find them!
I 'm thinking of going to spirit on the 16th to see Eddie Halliwell as i've seen him over her in the UK and he's a top class DJ.
Any info would be much appreciated

1. Fridays - Be Yourself with Danny Tenaglia
Winner of the US Dancestar Award for Best Club Night in the nation for the last two years
2. April 17 - Tsunami at Arc, if you like psy-trance
3. April 24 - the final Made Events (www.madeevents.com) @ Arc party, with Lee Burridge and several of NYC's finest DJ's (15 DJ's in all!)
4. April 25 - the grand finale (or whatever it's called) - Danny Tenaglia playing until "last drink drunk and last man standing"

On Mondays, catch Tronic Treatment at the Sullivan Room for techno, and Deep Space at Cielo for dubby, experimental grooves (also nominated for Dancestar Award for Best Club Night in the nation). These events are $5-10.

Arc - TriBeCa (Canal St or Franklin St on 1 or 9)
Crobar - Chelsea (28 St on 1 or 9 )
Avalon - Flatiron District (east of Chelsea) (23 St on F)
Sullivan Room - Greenwich Village (W 4 St on A,C,E,F)
Cielo - Meat Packing District (just south of Chelsea) (14 St on A,C,E,L)
Average regular price is around $25 but it is rather easy to get on guestlists for $5-10 off - usually just a matter of emailing certain people in advance, and showing up early. I'm sure you'll see that info posted up here in due time.

Not to spoil it, but Ill be the last man standing, as I usually am at Arc parties. First one in, last one out - its the only way to go. |
