Is My Boss An *******?

ok, so I got my a big problem with my timekeeping at work. Everyday I end up being between 10-15 mins late getting in. I've had two disiplinary hearings and my boss is getting really pissed off with me!
This guy knocked my hours down to 3 hours part-time from 8.5 hours a day when he took over as boss. He says I've got a self-motivation problem, which is understandable as I don't enjoy the work I do. But he then goes on to tell me that he doesn't think that the job I do is that important. Along with the fact that he pays me the minimum wage and the comment he made about my job being not important to him how the hell does he expect me to get enthusiastic about my job? I now don't feel like anything I do will be appreciated because it's not important anyway, so why bother making an effort?
Does this make my an or is it just my boss? Let me know your opinions. |

Well that's understandable as you are getting paid for work you could and should be doing at these times. But with your boss taking that kind of attitude to your job, coupled with the fact that you don't enjoy your job - I suggest you start looking for a new one... |

Perhaps your attitude and contempt for your job has something to do with your boss' attitude?
Seems you have two obvious choices: suck it up and get to work on time. Show a slight amount of enthusiasm, go a little bit out of your way and try to show your employer that you appreciate what you have.
-or-
quit, and hopefully find a new job that will make your nipples erect everytime you walk in.
Honestly, it depends on your personal situation. Do you need the money? Are there other jobs worth going for? Do you want your nipples hard everyday? Ponder these questions and then get back to us. |

this makes me wonder how easy it is to find a job that will really excite you on a daily basis. i mean, i like my job lots but my nipples arent erect every day. though a lot, since it is cold here. |

Tell him that working the deep fryer might not seem important to him, but french fries are the only reason I eat at Mc Donalds. Besides where else am i supposed to bring my date? :disbelief |
