Old acosta - Good. Though cheesy. But hey, I like some cheesy stuff, to a point.

New acosta - Takes the top 20 list and puts it on a cd :haha: :haha:

unfortunately he still owns you. : / there's a reason to be the number 1. probably his interaction with the crowd. maybe if he dances less, his mixing would improve

I have yet to see Acosta live but i have a few of his cd's.. I love
"Awake" and some of "Touched"... I like listening to his cd's so i
can catch up on the mainstream anthems of trance, everyone has mixed feelings of him,, but 'best american dj',, that's your own slight opinion.. Not to judge you,, listen to more american dj's.

I saw Acosta at Spundae (LA) last year...Hmmmm...it looked like he was into the music he was mixing. I DID NOT DIG HIM!!!! Mixing with his eyes closed (getting emotional???) did not work for his "stature":stongue: Gray Area performed live beform him and they rocked!;) CDs are always good...blah. I feel bad for dissing a DJ that is actually doing gigs and I'm not. But hey....we're all entitled to our opinions right? I definitely love Markus Schulz' productions. I should listen to Christopher Lawrence "live" again to make another judgement. But I'd probably agree with most responses that Acosta is NOT THAT GOOD!!!:D

Acosta might have been ok when I was back at his Shadow Lounge days and I was all banged up..Even had a good time sometimes..But after 98-99 he went pure cheese, unfortunatley Shadow Lounge was my fav. place at the time and he was resident there so everytime i saw him after that he would mnake me feel like taking a dump on the dancefloor..I actually flicked him off quite a few times...Sorry dood
Acosta was never good he just had his hay day when trance was starting in Miami...Like the others said he is pure cheese and everyone knows it..

Am I the only one to think he's putting vinyl after vinyl without any 'link' between them?
There is no evolution in his mix...

cheese is alright if its mixed right.. but acosta just pulls random garbage out of his bin. and throws it down... so there is no real point, its just like me throwing down deep house records and than dropping a hard trance track at 33 speed. nothing but ass.
dj_inferno
I don't like his cds. I saw him twice last yr and both times he threw down some really good tunes.
