| Anyone here use TECHNICS SL-1210M5G? If you do how do you like them and do you think they are worth spending the extra money for? |

I gotta say that the M5G is a completely different table than the MK2, but if you wanna get a quality deck, but don't wanna spend the xtra cash, then just pick up the MK5 or the MK3. Both of these decks will do you just fine. The mk2 has a reset detent, that when playing trance or anything that requires long mixes, can cause problems for you.

Thanks so much! I have owned mk2's for 10 years but I just wanted to see what everyone else felt about the m5g's.

Anytime, I run the DJ department at the Seattle Guitar Center, so its my job to help people make those kinds of decisions.
I have to say that the M5G has a much more responsive pitch control, as well as the ability for two different ranges. +-8% as well as +-16%. This can be handy, if you wanna do some really crazy stuff with pitch. Hope that helps man.
