A major factor here is whether the colored garment bleeds or not - and it can happen even when washing with cold water.

i would throw that tan shirt in with the lights. and make sure you hang it up afterwards to avoid those wrinkles. ;)

red items i always throw in with my dark load. i find that red is the easiest color to bleed of all, and usually if i have a new article of clothing that is red, i will wash it for a first time all by itself so that it doesnt bleed onto everything else.

it took me many years to amass all 13 of my shirts and I am scared to ruin any one of them.


that means that laundry day would be one day closer. Or Id have to go out and get a new shirt....and I suck at doing that.
