What would it take for a new superclub to emerge?

Twilo was here and now it is gone. I do not believe this was a unique event. What would have to occur for a new club or scene to emerge and take its place as its successor?
Here are some things that I thought:
* The club has to be big enough to hold a large crowd comfortably.
* The people who go have to be friendly, polite, and cool - the vibe has to be there - what constitutes vibe?
* The sound system has to be amazing
* The club has to be humane - have places to sit, be comfortable tempature wise, have a smoking room or easy to access smoking area, and the staff friendly and sociable.
* The music and talent brought in must be compellingly interesting enough to bring out people to attend.
* The economy has to improve so that more people will have money to spend.
* The morale at NYC needs to improve. We need to move on from the dark days of 9/11
* The political and social climate needs to ease up on our scene
Your opinions please :) So do you think Twilo could happen again in our youth? |

Debatable. Arc isn't too big... and yet it's one of the best clubs.
I'd like to add:
* Good laser/lighting system. Roxy is currently my fave with that =D |

It's all true. We all take Ecstacy, shoot up, and smoke up at the clubs... REALLY.

| I think its very possible, as unique as the club was, Arc is/was as close to Twilo as you could get. |

Which brings us to a totally different topic... Will Arc's new location be as good, if not better than, the current home? |

| I think the Arc definitely had (still has) a fantastic vibe...I just wish it would have been bigger to be able to bring in some of the bigger names. Kleinenberg, Howells etc. are big without a doubt. But it would have been great to have the same "Arc vibe" with S&D, Cox and likes. The night that PvD was there was absolutely fantastic, but unfortunately will most likely not be repeated. |

Well, I dont know where Arc's new location will be, but...
If its big, with *KEY* low ceilings, the same/similar sound system, maybe a bar/lounge area, and be the ONLY club with an actual smoking section - funny how clubs either improvise with what they have or they just dont allow it, in which case people still smoke in the club (speaking from experience). |

Very few clubs have sufficient seating. A superclub with tons of seating would just be a floor space with half of it turned into VIP. |

| IMO to have a super club, the club would have to spend, and loose a lot of money in the beginning. But my feeling atm, only arc is open for peoples enjoyment, as much as making money, which i feel is every other clubs #1 priority. Avalon doesnt give a about their envirnment, they just want the $$$. I also feel that the club shouldnt promote much, good clubs shouldnt have to. Clubs that do attract to many retards. |
