dont really know what they are called, so i'll refer to them as dropdown kicks...but i guess you all know what im talking about....its thoose long pitch down kicks/bass'es at the beginning of breaks etc.
I've tried for years to make em sound good, but i cant really get them right....so if anyone in here has some tips/samples it'll be greatly appreciated... |

i often use the same kick as in the whole track and put reverb and delay on it! perhaps also have more gain on it, so it sounds a bit louder...
works fine as a "breakdown kick" |

| I think he means that sub bass . dooooOOOOOOO. You really just have to mess with a your kick, and add some sub bass to it. COMPRESSION!!! |

| It's synthesized bass with the pitch wheel being turned down. |

Yep tried that before, works great, can be a simple sound.
I think there are two types of "breakdown kicks". A booooooooOOOW! and a BOOOOM!
For the BOOOOM! you could use a kick with long reverb and stuff. |

If you want to see a good patch that you can learn from, get hold of freealpha and then get the Vintage and Dance patch bank from patch arena. It's got a pretty good Subbass drop in there that you'll be able to take apart.
