hullo,
alright so here's the deal, I've been meaning to go see James Holden at this venue in a city that's about a 3 hr train ride away. His gig got cancelled and instead Carl Cox is going to be spinning. Across the street from this venue, there's another place that's going to have Nunrg and Dumonde playing during the same night (saturday). I know they're different type of music, both of which I'm not THAT fanatic about but I would still love to go see either one.
So what do you think?

Well if the style of music is not a problem for you go where do you feel better with the atmosphere and where the club is more cool.

But I'd go to see Carl Cox, I've seen Nu-Nrg and was a really short live set (1 hour) and all the tracks they played were their productions and remixes.

Elena, I told you, the answer is kind of obvious. Time for you to make the right decision. :D
BTG
not nu-nrg. they part of pvds lable. don't support it. its the microsoft of edm.

Nu Nrg will be a live pa.. about 1hr or slightly over..
DuMonde will be playing a hard trance dj set FILLED with ALOT of their own productions and remixes.. if youre a fan of them then maybe youll like it..
Carl Cox plays funky house to banging techno and has one of the most amazing skills on the decks.. gauranteed to be a good night[music-wise]

if it was me, definitely Cox... have fun where ever you go tho..~:D

Carl Cox has amazing skills, I'd go see him.

It all depends on three simple things:

  • The money you're willing to spend: not much to explain here :p
  • How excited you are on going to these events: Have you heard them live? Get some mp3's and try to see what their live sound is like. How much do you know about the venues? Are they good enough? ask youself this sort of thing
  • If there are other opportunities you'd better save your money for: being in Europe gives you many opportunities to see famous DJ's. If you're not into their sound that much, wouldn't it be better to wait for another night with more options?

:)
