| i've always used Virtual Turntables.. it think it's a great program.. there is a beat counter you can download on a link from the VTT home page. I just use the built in beat counter... you have to hit a key on the keyboard for the beat..might sound crude, but it works better than any beat programs i've come across so far.. |

Ok there is a bunch of programs out there. I prefer the BPM-Studio, it's a little hard to use but you get all the things like beat counters and and mixing with it is awesome, and you can even record the mix with the program.
If you want the easiest to use program try Virtual Turntables. Also try ATOMIXmP3 mixer all you have to do with that one is just click a button and it does all the mixing for ya, it takes the fun out of dj'ing though! |

Sorry mate, but I beg to differ. I have been using VTT for about 2 years, and it's easily the best mp3 mixing program around. Admittedly the in-built beat counter is pretty pants, but if anyone is such a e DJ that they have to use that then they're never gonna progress from mp3 mixing! It's so easy to split the channels and have the headphone cue out of the left channel and the speakers from the right, so why bother pissing around with a cheat-matcher?
ar'Jay, you can get VTT from http://www.carrotinnovations.com . I have got a crack for it, if you want it email me and i'll give it to you.

why? you like sw mixer? when speed of those two mixed tracks splits and you can uproot your hand while clicking and pushing those two vinyls and trying to mix them together while switching on sw mixer? that sux man!
im playing on some parties - 2 turntabkles + computer with two lineouts, go buy another sound card, plug it, download winamp and two coolest dsp plugins ever made - chronotron (changes speed of music without affecting vocals) and pitchfork (makes a turntable of each winamp), let every winamp use different waveout and plug them into your hw mixer... its much better and much more closer to mixing from turntables, isnt it? and it is more easyier. |
