i had to kill the ing thing cuz explorer.exe was taking up 150mb of virtual memory and 90Mb of physical memory and getting greedier by the minute.
it's the way they coded the videoclip |

Yeah, probably a ty encoding.
If you have your folder options set to remember individual folder settings, you can just view the files in your video folder with details or as a list...well basically anything that doesn't show the preview, it depends if you're using 2k or XP, as I don't think 2k had a "list view" option, although I may be mistaken. |

i ing hate encoders who release episodes of red dwarf/jackass and its all ed up, either codec or img quality.

| there is a reg edit u can do to fix the problem of stuck .avi files... i dont have any place to upload the .reg file tho :-/ |

| I've got a similiar problem, heh. There's a 95mb mpeg (also not porno) that doesn't play but also won't delete. Windows says that access is denied because the file is in use, then explorer.exe shoots to 100% cpu usage and eats memory for a while. There's no virus present - just seems to be another Windows issue. |

It is a fault in windows 2000 and XP when using NTFS. The problem is large files corrupt easily. The acess bit gets corrupetd and the file gets locked. or the preview window is trying to play a corrupted file and is holding the file open.
There are two solutions
1) try safe mode doesn't allways work
2) format. |
