Producing a breakbeat in a pattern sequiencer?

| Could someone give me a quick rundown or lead me in a direction on how to create a breakbeat in a pattern sequiencer. I mainly use reason. |

So, do you want ReDrum tips?
Load up a kickdrum a snare, and a closed hat.
In the kickdrum channel, put this pattern.
(K = kick; - = nothing, | = start of measure
|K---|--K-|--K-|----
For the snare: (S = loud snare, s = soft snare)
|----|S--s|-s--|S---
For the closed hat:
|c-c-|c-c-|c-c-|c-cc
That's very basic, but hopefully it gives you a general idea. |
