Some people on this board post on Inside-Chicago, smartclubber, chicago fusion, club-planet and bunch more. I've seen some old timers Pure board people too. It's impossible to find anyone if you don't know what they look like unless you go to "special" spots in the club, like Vision.
Speaking of Sound-bar...it's new and there are no "special" spots.

Oh ya...now that I have a digital camera...what is the camera policy there? I assume it is like Vision where anything goes.

Well, I didn't see any of you :-/ but I got distracted by someone :)
Sound-Bar is very cool. I like the atmosphere. Although it definitely draws a lot of tools in, but that's the case with any club.
Sander rocked. I met this girl who drove all the way from southern Indiana by herself to see him. She brought a DVD cam and recorded a good portion of the set. Great set, nice club. I'm sure I'll be back. |

Yes - Sander's set was really good - much better than his last set at Transit.
Only two complaints - the white poles on the dancefloor take up precious dancing space and they block the dancers view of the dj booth and also, there needs to be more places to sit upstairs. When the downstairs closes at 2 am you're left with sitting on the dancefloor.
My friend and I left around 3:30 - the crowd really thinned out around 2 or so - but from midnight to 2 it was pretty packed. |

I agree there needs to be more places to sit down....had there been one I could get to (not having a wristband and not being female there was no way to get up to the couches on the sides) I would have been able to chill for a while and stay longer.
I like the effect the columns give, but they are a little big. Though I a am assuming there is a fairly decent sized structural column there which they are masking. But slighty smaller would be nice.
I left around 2:30 because I was tired as all hell....but oh well, I did only pay 11 bucks for the show and I definitely got my money's worth. I also found my bartender of choise hehe....she knew exactly what I wanted after the second one and would start mixing as soon as I walked up.
I don't know how the restroom situation for the ladies was, but the men's room only having 3 urinals and one toilet for a place that size is a bit insane in my opinion.
I like the place...the sound system is really really good but they ned to turn it down from 11 to 10 I think. with a soundsystem that clear there is no reason to punch it that much...esp in a club that size. If only the Vision owners would pony up and get hooked up with an EAW system like that :gsmile:
The paring lot across the street is only $10 bucks too btw for those of you who drive. :thepirate

Sander K was ok. I left at 3.30...I guess it's just not my kinda night. Met few TA's...hello to all you you guys!!! Met some “old skool" people from Karma and Stardust times...well it was a good night. BTW...my boys went to PVD and he sucked. His 2 hour set was semi-decent but the guy was too tired or too messed up. One of two, so he dropped a ball few times during his set. People were super ghetto, therefore I like Soundbar crowed much, much better.
I really enjoyed Chris Walsh’s set. He dropped some old but lovely tracks.
Sander K is a good DJ, but only because by 3.30 club was almost empty I figure that that made a mistake catering Sander for Soundbar crowed. Bid DJ’s and Soundbar “just don’t splice”, IMO.
We’ll see what will happen. I wish this place the best and will come back.
Chicago TA’s are pretty weak. God damn…at least I hoped to meet a moderator. I met only 2 guys.

I planned on going but I fell asleep at 8pm after being up all night on Thursday (stupidly) and by the time I woke up nobody wanted to go down with me anymore and it was after RSVP time.
You can confirm w/ctprincess - I called her when I woke up on Friday night :p |

tell the ******s at soundbar to let people in who wear sneakers. I wore a pair of adidas running shoes(not distasteful either) and was denied entry!! I tried again but they said no go, even after some other dude got in with them on. Ah well, saved my ass some money. I prob. wouldve been let down by his set anyway, after the ownage on the terrace.
