This guy has plenty of support from people who know the scene. He is more of a house and progressive dj but showed on Friday that he is very versatile.Sean Cusick is pretty well known for his monthly column of Xpander. He is outspoken about the music scene and is notorious for bashing BT.Sean Cusick was a regular dj opener at Twilo for the likes of Sasha and Digweed,JVM,and all the bigger names that were there regularly.:D

It is also because people do not give progressive a chance. They would rather hang on to the anthemy trance that basicly was at its peak years ago.I used to be one of those people.I still can out and enjoy a trance set but its not cutting edge and sometimes its all the same.Very few trance djs can actually make a meaningful set these days that takes you on a journey and such.PVD has his moments so does Armin but all in all trance has become more mainstream and cheesy unfortunately.

it takes a while for a person to understand this, and one cannot be forced to understand this idea, it has to be personally learned after you open up your ears to other genres

You are absolutely right. But my problem is that some people are content with the status quo of music and refuse to give other genres a chance.

That is the reason why there is 4k at a tiesto show and 20 people at a chris fortier and sean cusick show

i would never knock anyone cos of what type of music they like,,,however,,,i believe trance was just a vehicle to carry dance music into the mainstream,,overproduced music for the masses, i blame it on the music press for subdividing dance music into different genres..there used to be a time when it wasnt......When you go to see people like danny Howells,,they play everything from ambient to breaks to progressive to house to trance to hardhouse and techno,,,,,,,that is why his parties are so much fun................i put the whole lot into one category....Dance Music........

I agree, there is too much labeling these days.... but progressive is where it's at. :clown:

Everthing is progressive, there is no genre called progressive many people think there is a genre called progressive, but there isnt. There is progressive in all genere, prog trance, prog house, prog breaks and prog rock and soo on...but it does go somewhere
