I want to start producing Trance and i have a few questions...

1)I have Fruity Loops 3, do i need an external MIDI keyboard to use with it or there's no use for it?

2)I'm looking at the Roland MC-307 groovebox.. is it good for what i want to do? do i need an external keyboard with it?

3)can i use the computer as a sampler? if yes, what programs do i need?

4)what other things do i need to start producing Trance?

5)I'm also looking at the Korg EA1 synth, is it good? do i need an external keyboard with it?

Thanx in advance, Alonzo.

1) You dont need a midikeyboard with fruityloops, I dont think
that keyboards have much use with Fruity. Just use fruityloops' own samples.

4) Fruityloops is the best program for trancebeginners, it's very easy
to use and soundquality is much better than in tracker progs. But
u need much more samples since fruitysamples arent that great, especially drums samples.

U could try searching from here:

What about the MC-307 and the Korg EA1?? are they good? do i need an external keyboard with them?
And can i use my computer as a sampler or do i need to buy a sampler?
deluded
1.) You don't need an external MIDI Keyboard, but they are VERY useful, and I seriously advise you buy a decent one.
2.)Wouldn't bother mate, invest in a professional sound card instead.
3.)YES! Use soft samplers such as Steinbergs Halion or the Speedsoft VSampler, there's plenty of other ones, but these are the best. If you can't afford these, the Fruity Loops built in sampler is more than good enough.
4.)Errrmmm...talent and dedication wouldn't go amiss!! :)
5.)It is good, but I'd get some soft-synths instead, they're more versatile and the quality is just as good.
