Reached the club around 1 am which i beleive was when the dish were just coming on.... more than the music, i was very impressed with the club in comparison to what we have over here in western new york ... the place was massive and the lighting was gr8(in a kool haus type of way) ... the place was rammed and maybe there were a tad to many guys for my liking but for someone studying in an engineering school , i shouldnt complain :whip: ...
was my first time checking out the dish and for someone who really doesnt enjoy their style,i was quite impressed. Only tracks i recognised were :-
ozgar g and ralph falcon - Dark Beat (tune of the nite for me)
P Diddy - Lets Get Ill (??? mix) .. def wasnt the deep dish one
wat pissed me of the most were the bouncers ... around 4 am i needed to get out to the patio for some fresh air and the guy just tells me sorry its closed for now if you want to go out there you have to leave... really needed to go out so we left....
but it was definately good to see a club like this in these parts and i hear a lot of talent will be hitting sphere over the summer/fall... cant wait to see what they have in store |

There is a front room where you cannot hear the music from the main room. at the very front, on the side where you enter, is access to (i think it's called) the Orange Room, and you can't hear that music in the front room either. the music you hear in teh fornt room is usually pumped from whoever is spinning in the room adjacent to the Orange Room. The front room has a big bar in the middle, and its pretty well lit up. it has a some older, Victorian-style furniture and lighting, very different from the main room.
The main room is two levels, or i guess you could say three - stadium style, with the dancefloor being the bottom level, right in front of the stage, and the dj booth is above the stage. There is a bar on each side of the top-most (ground) level, and a raised chill spot at teh back of the top level.
All in all, I would say the main room is about 2.5x the total size of System's mainroom (before the redesign), also about 2.5x the size of Film's main area. Probably 3x the size of the Orange Room in the Guv complex. The front room is about the same, yet a bit more narrow, and the two side rooms are small rooms, with the Orange Room have a bit more loungy mood to it, but nowhere to just sit and chill. |

yep, thats what size it is..
it used to be a theater, so the entrance to the main room/design of the main room is all based on a theater.
a few old pics i had of it:

| according to the club's owner, the club lost 10000$ that night. Very disappointing turn out in buffalo, and it will prob be one the last big headline events there. |

I went with about 7 people we all drove down from T.O.
20 Canadian to get in, crowd sucked ass they have no style what so ever, staff were rude or just completely lost.
Deep dish rocked, the tunes were great recognized about 20 or so tracks. Left around 5:30 we all had a great time aside from them not excepting Canadian money at par at the bar as they previously advertised here on TA.
My girl went to the bar and they wanted 18 Canadain for a vodka and red bull!! One hour before that 3 vodka and red bulls were 36 Canadian seemed like the bartenders didn't know what the hell they were doing. I did n't realize how good we have it here until I went to buffalo, honestly I will never return to Buffalo again for a party.
All in all 7.5/10 night, too long of a drive home. |

doesnt suprise me...
buffalo has a long way to go...
yes, im from here, but im not going to say its good. top 40, classic rock, and hiphop rules here, and expecting that it would be any different, well, thats just hoping. around here, you consider yourself lucky if you can fill a venue with *anyone* who likes EDM, much less a crowd you'd prefer.
thats why im on the TO ta forum, cause thats where i go to hear good music ;) |
