You guys are all mentioning pretty touristy beaches, for the most part... but I think the 2 areas in the world that have the most beautiful bodies of water have to be the Caribbean and eastern asia and its islands.
I spent 3 days in the Cayman Islands (Caribbean, south of Cuba) and it was out of this world. Me and girlfriend.
The water is piss warm, perfectly clear like a glass of water, full of all types of fish... and one of the most amazing things, is that giant sea turtles frequent the coast and in some areas (like the one I stayed at) they come up to people and let you touch them and pet them, the tourists there have a habit of giving them food. This is a pic I took.
The mediterrenan is nice, i've been to Mallorca (island next to Ibiza) and it is nice, but only for the nightlife, but when it comes to actual beaches... Caribbean is the king of the western world. I would love to go to the beaches in Thailand and eastern asia, those I heard, are the best in the world. |
