:whip:
I 'm mad as hell about this .I love seeing Adriana Lima walk around half naked.PISSED. BUSH AND THE FCC:whip: .

OK I'm Colombian-American and i gotta say some of the ignorance I ve read on here about colombia is kinda dumb.Maybe your just sayin that to make that annoying electronicmaji guy angree,I dunno but he makes colombians look bad in this board haha...anyways I lived in Colombia for one year in 95,and yea of course the crimes out of hand(terrorist bombings every week it seems)but the reality is colombia has alot of good decent people who lives in homes/apartments just like you and me and get a bad rap cause of some drug lords and terrorist. As for democracy,Colombia is a great example of democracy,we have never had a ed up president (look at Venezuela with Chavez, theyre ed up.)The colombian goverment is constantly fighting the war against terrorosm and drugs,President Uribe has even asked Bush for help but u know about that prick, maybe if colombia had oil......
yea its true some parts of colombia are poor, kidnapping mostly done by the rebels,Nobody ever knows when theyll be hit by a terrorist bomb,Colombia is the leader in drugs sold(maybe if the dumbasses in other countries would stop buying cocaine etc.. the drug trafficking would decrease)but unlike the cuban people, the colombian people keep fighting for what they believe in which is a more peaceful colombia.
But I must say Colombian women are hot and I kinda like how alot of them are coming here haha.Going out with a paisita (from medellin)right now.

so yea theres my rant. And bush and the FCC again.A sad day in the USA.

Indeed.

I don't even watch the VS fashion show, but it's the principles involved here.

i think the american government is full of hypocrite prudes. they don't know what's going on in their own country, but they like to tell other countries how to live. well i sure as hell wouldn't want to live that way. as a country that exist only for 200 years you can't tell other civilisations that's 10 times older how to live.

what's so bad about a naked body on tv? it's pure nature, nothing wrong with it. back in the greek days nudity was an artform.

believing in creation is simply retarded, theres so much proof of evolution nowadays you can´t just ignore facts. how can people be so close minded, and what on earth is immoral about a lingery show? open your eyes already!

whats so bad about creationism in schools? there is evidence to support it...evolution is just another theory...the school system tramples on parents rights right now to teach there children what they want them to be teached if a persons parents want them to be teached creationism or any principles of any time they have to pay for a private school and I think that is ridiculous the goverment should provide schools for people of all beliefs not just those who beleive in evolution...

Bull there is - there is absolutely no evidence whatsoever to support creationism or ID - both are bunk. talkorigins.org is a good site if you're interested in evolution. Again. there is absolutely no evidence to support creationism – in fact, it has been thourghly disproved. Hopefully MisterOpus1 is around – he's the guy to talk to about the Evolution/Creationism controversy.

Evolution is science, creationism is not. Creationism should not be taught in science class. The only place creationism should have is either in a comparative religion & philosophy class, or used in science as an exampole of a falsified theory that's been disproven and debunked time and time again.

Not believing in evolution is like maintaining that the earth psi flat, or that the sun orbits the earth - it's that simple. If you'd like take this further: open a thread in the political forum, there are numerous people there who will gladly take you on with regards to this.

well, you know, the US democracy was written and based on christian values and laws. the USA was founded on teh principles of christianity. back in the 1800's ext., if a public school did not teach about jesus in the curriculim, they didnt get gov't funding. coins all say "in god we trust". if u read the constitution, there are numerous referencest to god and the bible.

That's a blatant lie and you know it. You sprouted this rubbish in the political forum and watched your arguments dismantled by DrUg_TiTo, MisterOpus, Myself, Diginut etc. - so why are still using them?

Read the constitution - specifically the first amendment and the establishment clause. There is separation of church and state - meaning that the state cannot, and does not endorse, impose or support any particular religion or religious belief. There are no references to the Christian god or the bible in the constitution. Either you're astonishingly ignorant - or you're lying. Quite frankly, I'm going with the latter. The 'in god we trust' is technically in violation of the establishment clause, and if history is anything to go by, will eventually get legally challenged.

Seriously - just stop lying, it doesn't do anything to further your case.

if your not christian, u can always join the democratic party. the liberal side of the gov't. they support gay marraige somewhat, immigrants, abortion, and other things liberal.

Thanks for the lecture - but I already know what the democratic party is and what it stands for. I'm not an American, and hence wont be joining the, - but yes, I do support them over the republicans.

quote:
the founding fathers made the "freedom of religion" part of the 1st amendment, b/c they wanted a gov't that wasnt strict and persecute its people. which is why so many immigrants came for religious freedom. they wanted to make a country that was free from any monarch or dictator, and "given the pursuit of happiness".

What? That's utterly nonsensical. They made freedom of religion and separation of church and state because they wanted separation of church and state. They had been persecuted in Europe for their religious beliefs - and as such understood that theocracies weren't the best idea. Do you even know what freedom of religion means?

quote:
it wasnt because they saw "separation of church and state". they based the constitution on the morals of christianity..

FFS - are you completely blind?

How was it explicitly based off the morals of Christianity? Go on - provide some evidence. Cite sources and provide examples please.

Eh? Since when is creationism taught in Australian schools? :conf: Heck - even the religious schools teach evolution.

There - rant over. :D

sorry there is evidence for creationism but considering the close mindedness of your last post I really dont think posting the evidence will change your mind so I leave you and your ignorance alone in this thread :clown:

In other words - you actually have no idea what you're talking about. Do you even know what evolution is, or are you one of those quote miners who excels in distorting and misrepresenting it to support your unorthodox assertions.

The only reason you aren't presenting any evidence is because it doesn't exist. Why do you think that 99% of scientists believe in evolution? Here's a hint - because there's actually some damn good evidence to support it. Nothing in biology makes sense without it. Furthermore - why is it that creationists are considered complete nut jobs in every other western nation, excluding the US? nobody gives them time of day, and rightly so.

Do you believe the earth is flat? Does the sun orbit around the earth? At one stage the church held those to be true due to their particular biblical interpretations. The same thing is happening now with evolution - the RCC has been forced to admit that evolution is indeed true, and the pope has thrown his support behind it. And I've never been called ignorant by a creationist before - thanks for the laugh. :stongue:

If you're willing to have a serious discussion on the merits of evolution and creationism, then go ahead: make your case. I'll PM occrider & MisterOpus1 - who actually works in the area, and from memory has two degrees in the field. Start a thread in the political forum - let's do this thing.

I apologise if i'm coming off as harsh, but I really, really hate ignorance and stupidity.
