There is no way in hell avalon can handle the tiesto crowd. I mean avalon on a reg sat night is bad enough, you can barely in move let alone dance but now handling tiesto - i just really cant see it happening. Im still crossing my fingers this is bogus and will be another made at the roxy production but its looking doubtful as of now. roxy is really the best place imo for the big names, its a no hassle place and its got a big enough floor. i really dont know how i feel about this. |
have to disagree... crobar i think is the best place for big names... but avalon? ugh u're gonna have to tear down the buildings next door too. |

i dont like this one bit avalon was way too packed for ferry and the syestem was terrable that night
i really hope this is just a rumor theres nothing about this on his website
and why would made events dump tiesto to avalon it makes no sense
they always had pvd and tiesto and now armin
if its true tho i dunno i plan on just standing on the balcony all night and not even attempt to go on the main floor |

This venue is a disaster for Tiesto. Its way to small.
You wont be able to move an inch on the main floor.
Tiesto needs to be at Roxy, or Exit on a Friday. |

agreed on both points...
the only way avalon would work is if they allowed entry for ticketed people only and no door sales... i'd much much much rather have crobar, even roxy just cuz it's a big cavern. i think also one reason why it wasn't so "packed" on NYE was just cuz of the number of alternatives available in the city. u had sander K going at arc, something going on at spirit, exit, etc etc. avalon was also advertising the party as 21+ for new year's eve and we know from this forum that that discouraged more than a few people from attempting to attend sasha at NYE. if tiesto's the only ticket in town for that SATURDAY (and now with 18+ for avalon), it'll be worse than carl cox was in march. |

Tiesto won't play at Roxy for ONE reason: Roxy is "PVD's House" and it's only good for the #2 DJ in the world. The #1 Dj is too good to play in a venue that someone "below" him plays. |
