I posted this at the "amatuer dj's" forum, but no one seems to look there so i'll post it here:
I want to start producing Trance and i have a few questions...
1)I have Fruity Loops 3, do i need an external MIDI keyboard to use with it or there's no use for it?
2)I'm looking at the Roland MC-307 groovebox.. is it good for what i want to do? do i need an external keyboard with it?
3)can i use the computer as a sampler? if yes, what programs do i need?
4)what other things do i need to start producing Trance?
5)I'm also looking at the Korg EA1 synth, is it good? do i need an external keyboard with it?

| i soon want te do the same thing as you, producing trance. The roland mc-307 is good stuff, but i found the korg ER-1 also very usefull as drumcomputer. Both don't need a midi keybord, they have a keyboard on board. Looking for a synth on the internet could be helpfull, but i start searching at shops, because i think that each synth has its own sound, and you can't judge the way it works with a picture on internet :) . I don't use my pc for music, so i cant help you there... I have a demo version of a sampler program, i can send it to you if you like... good luck, Maarten aka DJ Skylz |
