Turn off BPM counter with CDJ-800

So, I finally got my mixer and started playing with my new setup.
The problem is the BPM counter on my cdjs, it's really annoying. I can't find a way of turning it off and I don't feel like looking at it every time I mix.
Does anyone know how to turn it off?

Thx :)

there is no switch for it, therefore u cant turn them off... put someting over them, like tape or sometin.;)

But honestly; no it cannot be done. I just checked the manual and you cannot turn the bpm counter off.

yeah beat counters sucks
just tape it ... altho the axis 9 that i use have a good counter (beatkeeper) that u can tap the beat (4/4) and it can't go wrong but still i don't want to get used to numbers

I did check the manual, but didn't mention anything about it.

Thx anyway, I guess I have to get used to not looking at the damn thing...

a small peice of black electrical tape will do the job niceley, and isnt too hard to get off either!

craeful with black tape, it can leave a sticky glue residue. quite ugly too. i like that weak transparent tape + black construction paper. :p

a little bit of tee-tree oil [or metho if thats unavailable] gets rid of all unsightly glue stickiness

[with a nice clean smell to boot!:haha: ]

Just put a black piece of cloth over it. Take your old black shirt, cut two small squares out of it and put them over the counters. That's what I did.
