oh yeah, and by the way he mixed the set using 6 turntables,
4 CD players, final scratch, and other equipment
puts pvd and his wack little laptop to shame :p |

| According to his site, he used 6 decks, 4 cd players, finalscratch, and various other "pro dj tools." The man is incredible. |

What style does he play these days?
I heard that he used to play hard house, but i admit that i have never heard a single track or set by Carl Cox, so i have no idea about the guy.
However, six decks sounds pretty incredible. What does one do with six decks? How the hell does it all fit together to make a set?
      |

tech-house...basically a fusion of techno and house
I think I have a different rip of this, it's labeled: 01_538_-_carl_cox&friends_live@Ahoy_04-03-2004
is that from the same set or what? |

I do know he spins...Techno & Tech-House. Maybe more stuff. He used to drop the odd trance tune here and there back in the day, like BBE - Seven Days And One Week, or Armin - Blue Fear. Don't know if he still does that. Anyways i'm sure torontotrance or someone similar who actually knows what they're talking about will have something to say.
And with the turntables...he does some CRAZY .
Ah...I want to hear this mix but my...source...for these types of things seems to be gone at the moment. |

| I've got Carl Cox, Michel De Hey, and Kevin Saunderson's sets from Carl Cox & Friends. They all kick ass. |

He's credited with being the first DJ to use three decks at once, during the so-called "second summer of love" during 1988. Basically just keep adding layers:D |
