ATL Paul Van Dyk Review

Let me just start off by saying...damn! I'm still buzzing and its almost 5am.:eek:
The night was amazing. We showed up a little late for the pre=party but it was all good. Nothing a few corona's couldn't fix. Then we went to the party and oh man......Jerry Bonham totally kicked some ass in the latter part of his set, imo.
Then PvD came on..........wow.......he was just amazing. No doubt about it, he is the man! I had such a good time seeing everyone and all my fellow TA's.
Ill give a more detailed review when i sober up!
But all in all.....the essence of this quasi-farked-up review states....DAMN! Good night, good vibes, good times!:cool: |

let me just say, jerry bonham is sick!!!!
i got there like 11:30, looked around for my fellow atl ta's (not sure if i actually met any of you) pvd came on and blew up, i was dancing nonstop for the entire time he was on. i only wish he was able to go longer, Space stlye. The guy was simply sick. I would give shoutouts to whoever i met, but i cant remember anyones name, when i wake up tommorow ill post a couple videos. wow

eventhough i spent most of the nite passed out on the toilet.....i could stillhear the tracks downstairs and he was banging it oh my god people were going nuts :):)
Paul is the f#$#ing man, he signed three of my vinyls too :)
nice hangin with all the TA's again and great pre-party...it fugged me all up hahahaha

Well, what can I say.. Paul was amazing and so was bonham. Started out banging at exactly 12:40 and finished with a bang as well around 2:45. He let up only one time when he played sweetest dreams, but that's about it. The only thing that pissed me off was NBY, but whatever, the place went nuts for it. Here is what I remember.

Where to start....
The pre-party was a huge success. Maybe 20 people was in my apartment drinking heavily. I was afraid we'd be too drunk to drive but luckily some of us were responsible and got us to the club in one piece.
What a sight to see 4 or 5 cars rolleing out from my apartment headed to Paul van Dyk. My car had to go back and get the PvD sign but we all managed to arrive at Eleven50 at the same time. The lame parking lot guy tried to pull a fast one on us but he didn't know he dealt with regulars. He's still a tard.
The line was surprisingly short and we were through the gates in less than a minute. All the TAs filled the area in front of the DJ booth (naturally) and danced to Jerry Bonham. Jerry had some good tracks going but his mixing was a bit off, perhaps due to bad equipment. He certainly got the crowd warmed up for Paul.
Then came PvD. Paul knew he had two hours and he totally banged it. There were quite a few IDs of very good tracks. He mixing was awesome with the exception of one supposed mistake. I didn't hear it but others said he wrecked. If he did wreck it might be due to equipment troubles because Jerry Bonham wrecked badly twice. He kept that energy up for the entire two hours. I could have danced all night.
