I tend to ignore what these rankings say and go by what the bookies say.
I think it's silly to do a rankings thing based on freindly games where teams are making up to 10 substitutes each game. |

wat the is up with mexico being put ahead of argentina and netherlands ... god damnit they arnt even considered favorites to ever lift the copa america trophy and suddenly they one of the top 4 teams in the world ....
and omfg Iran in the top 20??? its stupid how being the best team in asia can land you among the best in the world ... i dont recall them staging an upset or anything close to that ... |

Mexico beat the USA in the Americas Olympic Qualifer, 4-0. We won't be sending a team to the Olympics this year, bud. take notice.
Reason Costa Rica got ranked higher is because they took 2nd in the Americas Olympic Qualifer.
Mexico has the biggest futbol tradition in North America.. Very proud futbol country. They've beaten Brazil a few times before.. They have a very good team this year, must of impressed fifa officals to be ranked so high? |

ing Iran cost Australia a spot in the '98 world cup. We went from 1-0 up with about 20 minutes to go to 1-2 at full time, we lost the game....
Some retarded streaker invaded the pitch, ran up to the goals and ripped down the net before being tackled by the police. It took about 10-15 minutes to fix, and after that we lost our momentum, and the lead. 90,000 Australians at the game were heartbroken, as well as the rest of us watching at home.

P.S. we would have been in the World Cup if we had not lost that game. |
