Best of luck for the semi final

What does "Massilia trop puissant" mean??

I'm looking forward to a great semi-final with another passionate set of supporters! Hopefully we can do what Liverpool didn't. Apparently it's almost impossible to get a hotel/hostel anywhere near Marseille now. It might be a good idea to book your flights/hotel to Gothenburg now, as the prices are getting ridiculous and rooms are running out fast. If your team is knocked out you can either sell the tickets or just go to Gothenburg anyway.

Our team is entirely from Britain & Ireland except for our two French left-sided players, Olivier Bernard and Laurent Robert.

Laurent Robert will be a big danger man in both legs, he has a point to prove against the French and has got an assist in every European game this season (assisted 2 against PSV, could have assisted 4 or more goals if players had hit the ball from 3 yards out!). Despite his form he is constantly rejected from the France squad. PSG fans will remember him for his 35 yard goals :D

Here's some videos of our French left-winger, they're only a couple of MB each (right click, save target as):

He scored this in January. The best of the lot IMO, it's an awesome goal but a difficult one to describe. Watch and you'll see what I mean. Simply amazing!

A 35 yard free-kick against Liverpool. He kicked it so hard it swerves left and then right again, the keeper doesn't know what's happening until it's in the back of the net!

A 25 yard volley first touch volley as the ball is falling from a tight angle.

His second goal in the same game. 30-35 yards out, top corner.

Another 35 yard free kick.

Our two French players :D

Tell me about the Marseille side. Obviously Didier Drogba is a danger, but who else?

It means Marseille too powerful, Massilia is the antique name for France’s oldest city. It shouldn’t be too hard to score a hotel for the night, it’s a huge city so there shouldn’t be any problems. There’s a slew of relatively inexpensive hostels all around the city.
The game will be intense; we walked somewhat unexpectedly over LFC and Inter but now things get more serious, if we come back with a positive result from England don’t expect too much out of the adventure in le Velodrome. L’OM plays in the heart of Mediterranean’s sole active volcano, such an ambience is plainly unparalleled on this continent.
Nobody had much faith in this team as the season progressed, it all seemed to be going downhill up until Anigo took charge of the team and produced some absolutely unexpected changes. Most fans had written this season off and were just hoping to get respectable reinforcements this summer to build the squad around Barthez and Drogba, however that’s when several players stepped it up a notch. Flamini came out of the youth system and showed great potential, Hemdani moved from centre mid to become the anchor of the defence and then out of nowhere the man who was dubbed the next Zidane playing for France’s U-21, Camel Meriem, started coming through large. His playmaker skills are starting to shine through, his vision and dribbling skills are spick and span and he scored several colossal goals in the last month or so. This team is finally starting to look like something, we rose from the dead when everyone had written us off, the masses are believing in l’OM once again.

Are you planning to travel to Marseille for the away-leg? I won’t be making the trip to Newcastle but I should be in the centre of the havoc on the north side of le Vel for the second match if I’m back in the country.

Cheers
