Hey everyone.
So i bought an IDJ (International DJ Magazine) from Chapters thinking it was the latest and greatest, and it turned out that i was like 2 issues behind...
CRAP!
So i looked into getting a subscription from the UK and HOLY SMOKES... is it ever expensive (with currency conversion it turns out to like 200 bucks a year!!!)
... can I get this subscription here in Canada (and up to date) ANY Cheaper than that????? |

Don't get iDJ - get the real DJ.
iDJ seems to be slimmed down and not nearly as good (based on my observation and purchasing of probably 2 years worth).
There is a news stand @ BCE place where I get mine that sells them for between $10 and $12 per issue.
They usually arrive here 2 weeks after release in the UK. |

| i had a subscription for about 2 years, and i enjoyed pretty much every issue, now i prefer mixmag, cuz it's more of a general clubbing/music mag, cuz i mean there's only so many time i can read about the newest sampler, mixer, cd decks on the market that i cant afford... |

Hmm... real DJ eh? I'll have to check it out, RJ. I really liked IDJ (from the only issue I read though). Great breakdown of new tracks for the month. Great articles / reviews. I hope "real DJ" lives up to (or better than) these expectations.

Ack.. Mixmag is CRAP.. hurts my eyes. It's definitely a clubbing mag... i want tech-geek stuff and new tune stuff as well. But I know what you mean about wanting to cry every time you read of a new piece of cool gear that's too expensive to get... :( |

The real DJ is the full version. iDJ is a slimmed down version. DJ has more content and the same reviews of tracks (exact same). |
