Ok so Im basically almost done with my song that ive been working on for well over 4 days.... and once in a while fruity freezes and gives me , and I just close it and save and everythings fine...

Today I load Absynth and fruity freezes... I ctrl+alt+delete and shut it down... asks to save and I do... I try to open it and now I get

"error reading FLP filew which may be corrupted"

This ing sucks... my song was about finished and now this crashed. Is there anyway I can fix this?... maybe by going into the files registry or something and deleteing the ABSYNTH that I loaded which caused the crash in the first place?

Help/suggestions please.. just imagine yourself in the same situation after completeing a song!!!!!:whip:

I don't really have any ideas, but this is a good reminder to backup your projects regularly if they are important to you.. :(

Only 4 days? The one in my sig took closer to four weeks! :P

Move on. Dont let the projects you have done drag you back. All that matters is what you have learned. Be reborn from the ashes anew. Sounds cheesey, but how many of Tiestos very first tracks have you heard? (The ones he did while HE learned FruityLoops..... HAHAHA).

Fruityloops backs up your current project every now and then... :) So just see if you have "YourFruityLoopsDirectory\Trash Bin\backup.flp"

my word of advice.. always save your projects a different name after each session of working with it
for ex: project.flp, project2.flp, project3.flp, etc...

I find this is a very good way of working as if that error occurs, I can easily revert back to my previous one. Also I tend to add and remove things easily and by doing it like this, I can also revert back to my previous file if I changed something and I preferred the original.

But to answer your question, check your backup folder, fruity occasionally backs up your project files there. And the cause of your problem is mainly due to corrupt VST's. Also, if an error has occured halfway during your session, DO NOT SAVE AS THE SAME FILE. Save as a different file because more often than not, it will save the file corrupted and you will lose the project. However, sometimes it will not corrupt but it that is not too often.

i remember when my fruity caused corruption within my windows fonts...took months for me to fix it...fruity however was just being a bitch...

Glad it helped. :D

For future note save more often and don't save on the same filename... Like been said already.. :)
