Can someone please explain what Industrial music is? My mate says that Nine-Inch-Nails are classed as Industrial, but he also says that Hard House is Industrial as well, and used VNV nation as an example

electronica (or as some people like to refer to it: "techno")
Mebot
id say Industrial is more heavy rock with electronic influences.
NIN
KMFDM
Einstürzende Neubauten
Skinny Puppy
Gravity Kills
Type 0 Negative (not really, but a couple of their songs are industrial)
Fear Factory
Pitchshifter

Some of those tend to be a little more hard rock than electronica but they do have a couple songs with EDM influence
