What Is Industrial Music?

| Can someone please explain what Industrial music is? My mate says that Nine-Inch-Nails are classed as Industrial, but he also says that Hard House is Industrial as well, and used VNV nation as an example :rolleyes: |

But can HH be classed as Industrual? Also what about rock/dance bands like The Prodigy/Chemical Brothers? |

id say Industrial is more heavy rock with electronic influences.

Type 0 Negative (not really, but a couple of their songs are industrial)
Fear Factory
Pitchshifter
Some of those tend to be a little more hard rock than electronica but they do have a couple songs with EDM influence |

i thought rammstein was industrial metal, as ive heard some of kmfdm and nins stuff...and it has a certain ring to it which gives it industrial properties...meh. |
