yesterday i read on another forum that Stam is on his way to Lazio
that man.utd and lazio have agreed a £15 or £18 mill. transfer
the source to this news is very reliable, but it can be rumour.
although i think its not since man.utd have fined stam for £100.000 and put him on the bench
you opinions on this "transfer" if it happens to be true
i think its good ;)
who should man.utd use to stop owen now in man.utd vs liverpool ? ;))

Jaap Stam...the best defender on earth :)
@ Dutch television I heard that the transfer was already sure...
I think Stam fits better in the English league than in the Italian, but Ferguson put him on the bench...and that's a good reason to go :) |

Yup, Jaap will sign his new contract 2day
He's gonna make 3.500.000 $ a year in Italy.
Fergusson doesn't want him in the Manchester team anymore, because Jaap criticized Fergusson, some Man Utd. players and the English league (FA) in his biography called "Head to head."
It sucks, because Stam is too good for the Italian league (which is going DOWWWWWWWWWWNNNNN) |

This is the most remarkable transfer lately.
I didn't expcect this.
Fergie is stupid to let him go, he should forgive stam for what he wrote. Now the defense of Man U is the most weakest part of the team.
And now he's is at lazio, one of the teams in the poule of PSV Eindhoven. And I don't like that at all :whip: :( |

Stam, who will be formally unveiled by Lazio later Monday after United agreed a 23.6-million-dollar deal at the weekend, accused the English Premiership giants of 'throwing him onto the streets'. The 29-year-old, who signed a new five-year deal with United only six months ago, said in press reports here Monday he was shocked by United boss Sir Alex Ferguson's sudden wish to sell him. Stam is reported to have upset Ferguson with remarks in a candid autobiography although Ferguson has denied any link between Stam's transfer and revelations contained in the central-defender's book. But Stam cast doubt on Ferguson's denials, telling the Daily Mail he could not understand why he had been axed. "The only conclusion I can draw is that I have been kicked out by Sir Alex Ferguson," the paper quoted Stam as saying. "I can think of no good sporting reason why I should be sold. For three years I have been in the first team and we have won every trophy we could. "I wanted to sit down with Sir Alex to have a real chat about some of the things that had appeared in my book and caused so much trouble. |
