| Ok have any of you done this/administered it/known anybody to do it. My friend is about to do one that is 9 weeks long of him taking medication and visting the hospital three times for overnight visits in the 9 weeks, the pay is 3,000 usd, which is alot for doing nothing. and i know this is dangerous and all and i know they make you sign wavers, but what is the death rate/permanent illness[ie brain damage, organ damage] of these test. o and one of my brothers hallmates in his dorm stayed in a hotel room for a weekend infected with a virus for a 1,000. |

well usually research like this goes through very rigorous screening by ethics commitees n such. Also they always have to test medication thoroughly on animals beforehand. so if it showed promising signs there, it shouldn't be too bad.
there are probably just some nasty side effects, not death, but something like the runs. also if they are paying him that much, they must have great funding, which means they have some good technology to test this crap out with beforehand...
so I wouldn't worry if I was in it...
oh, and can I sign up for it....i could the money. |
