Just finished listening to paul van dyk's set at the WMC 2004 (03-06-2004)

i am loving the direction paul van dyk is going towards, deep soulful trance IMO

i love this stuff, just wanted to give him props for taking a bit of a turn from his usual fast, energetic, anthem type music (not that it is bad in any way) but i think he is broadening his style a little which is awesome in my opinion

no no, i'm actually an old time pvd fan.

i was at ultra 6, and all he played was "his usual fast, energetic, anthem type music".

but i don't think he was terrible because of the fact that his set was fast or energetic, i think he was terrible because of the
soul-less, empty, mostly overplayed songs he played.

see, last year at ultra 5, his set was also fast and energetic,
but the songs he played were f'n increadible, and that's why
he owned ultra 5... though tiesto and oakey were unreal too.
