Ok, it's been I don't know how long, a couple months or so, I know one of the richie riches here on TA has dropped the 2 and 1/2 g's on the new Technics SDZ1200 digital cd turntables. I'm dying for a review here, you win a prize if you've also spun the CDJ1000s and can compare them!
Seriously, are they cool or do they suck more than Rememberence on his knees? |

I wonder how that certain richie rich got their SDZ1200s especially that they are not available for a few more weeks? hmmmm, I just checked with several of our distributors on Friday and they all said the same thing, few more weeks.

Thought they were available now, I see price tags for em all over the net. Well Tranz, PLEEEEEEEEASE let us know how this deck is compared to the CDJ. And do you think the CDX is the underdog? It looks like a toy, but can't judge a book by its bla bla bla...

CDX1 will use cdjs and techies cd tables to mop the floors with, you'll see in the video what this thing can do, turn up the volume, hehehehe.

Damn that's a badass video. That's very impressive, so is that an actual vinyl that's on top, I know it doesn't play it, but it's an actual record on top you can take off (for the feel I guess)? It definitely sounds like a champ, but it also needs to be built like a champ as well, need to be sure it will stand the test of time, technologically and physically. Kinda makes my CDJ800s look a bit *weak*. The pitch slider and all the knobs and buttons need to be built to last if this monster is going to be on top. Heh, you made me look at these Numarks in a different light... can't wait to see how these new decks compare to the reigning CDJ1000s. Guess we won't have a clear-cut answer till they're all out and reviewed.
When do the CDXs come out (or are they already out) and what's the price tag? Thanks man, great info and great vid.

i never doubted numark with this one....and this proves me right in a lot of ways.
i imagine it will easily last the test of time ttechnology wise as numark have taken a huge jump with this and it not all down to them a fair old chunk of that kit will be alesis tech. just makes it all the better really. i could see it lasting the build test....but alot of you guys really imagine things lasting like 10+years which is what makes the techs amazing. you should only expect 5yeras really. look at all other electrical household components and this is the apox life expectancy. i do not say this is good just what to expect
that said........im gonna start saving over the summer for one!!!! |

I think that the Technics SDZ1200 are better than Pioneer CDJ1000MKII's. They just look more solid... I like the feel of metal. Their platter is also bigger and looks smoother.
Ya please, if anyone checked them out, then post a review. |
