hi guys, i'm using cooledit pro to finalize a house song i'm doing and giving it that kick it needs...i'm wondering, is there an easy way to make that skipping 4/8/16/32 type of sound that you hear in lots of house songs on breaks, and that djs do...does that make any sense the way i worded that?? i hope it does...i'd appreciate any help...

I am not sure if I know what you mean...

1. Cut out a loop with 1 bar which is exact the tempo of your song.

2. That loop could have a length of let's say 1.8 seconds.

3. Now divide 1800 ms with 16 which is a length of 112.5ms.
And then mark the part of the loop from 0 to 112.5 ms

--> Now you got a 16th part of your loop. Copy this short 16th loop to clipboard.

4. Create a new empty Wave File and insert this 16th loop 16 times.
Now you got that stuttering skipping effect.

5. Do it the same way for 4/8/32 whatever you like. It's a little bit of copy and paste work.
