This is taken from a post on JIVE Magazine. If you have ever been to a Maddhatter Event or even met Hagen this is a sad day. I'm very sad that Hagen will not be not be throwing as many parties as he has been.
Hagen's Post on JIVE
With the exception of the Ministry of Sound series of events, and some assistance with some Level 3 bookings, MaddHatterRadio will be taking a hiatus from throwing parties.
It has been a good run..and we have had a lot of fun putting shows together and debuting artists that we want to see (not necessarily that are going to make a ton of money) as we have not turned one dollar of net profit for the years of 2003-2004...in fact we have lost a great deal money.
Our goal with MHR was to bring new and innovative talent into the city, and raise the bar and standards a bit in Atlanta with added extras (lasers, high end sound systems, mobile a/c units, decorations etc) to make your party a bit more memorable of an experience. I feel we have achieved that goal.
We appreciate the support that we have gotten over the past year and a half....but unfortunately it just was not enough financially to keep it going on a more consistent basis .
I do want to thank my loyal supporters, resident Dj's and everyone who has assisted in making MaddHatter parties what they are...without all of you...none of this would have been possible.
I am actually looking forward to being a party patron for a change..and not dealing with the stresses that go along with putting together international lineups.
See you on the dance floor! |

man, a sad day indeed... but Hagen, you have our support, 100%. You've thrown some BADASS parties, and have always been a great friend! It's a shame this is happening, but you've done so much for our community already, you'll always have our respect!! Thanks for all the hard work you've put into it :D

| I only met Hagen recently in Miami during WMC. I went to the John 00 Fleming thing on southbeach. it was a great time in a very cool chilled out place. the food was great (paid for by Hagen) and the DJs he brought were awesome. I was hoping to go to more of his events as he seems like a really great guy! ATL has truly suffered a loss. |

| Hey Hagen. Sorry to hear about the bad news. Everyone I talked to, including myself, has nothing but good to say about your parties. You may not have made any profit but you certainly help create some priceless memories. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors! -Scott |
