any takers.
well if you don't wanna do that, then I guess you could just come up with a list of 6-8 words that are strongly associated with hard science. These terms are terms that when you think of them, you think of truth, accurate, valid, real, fact etc.
I suck at teh english as you all should know so I am at a loss. I really cannot think of these. I have thought of the polar opposite of these science terms, words like magic, telekinesis, psychic, astrology etc....so I guess these science terms would be the dichotomous opposites of these terms.
any help. |

I remember a very impressive text I once read about how science was created... it was like:

as in terms relating to factual data. Laws n such. I guess newton or einstein terms. although I do remember them being proved wrong in certain scenarios, but thats not the point.
It is terms that are recognized as factual by all, or just by most....and more specifically, college freshmen think they are factual.
like, laws of gravity, calculus maybe...eh, I am at a loss for words really...its like writer block... |

AAHhh, wipe that from your mind immediately. or else you are entering a world of pain.
well not pain per say, but it is kinda bad to think of correlations with hard factual terms.
but besides that pet peeve, great list, it should help out.
Any others... |

basically I am setting up a reaction time test in which people categorize truth and false terms to either the right or left side, and they also categorize science and non-science terms on the left or right side.
I have come up with truth terms, truth, accurate, valid, authentic, fact, axiom, and real.
I have come up with false terms, erroneous, fake, fictitious, fishy, imaginary, phony, and misleading
I ahve come up with non-science terms, astrology, magic, telekinesis, horoscope, reincarnation, psychic, witches, and black cats
however I have not come up with science words. Can you see where I am going with these? The exact realm from which the words come from is not important, what is important is that they are normally associated with truth words. |
