When you first feel the symptoms of what is known as 'The Common Cold,' immediately put into effect the following regimen to be followed daily:
MORNING:
You should not experience full consciousness during morning hours, avoid this at all costs.
AFTERNOON:
When you first arise, do not do anything particularly constructive right away. Instead, take some time to indulge in a full breakfast, or whatever foods you particularly crave at the moment. Remember, this is an illness you are recovering from: no food is too exotic or strange. After eating, go read a book, or if headaches occur, watch television or perhaps go for a walk if the weather permits. At some point during the afternoon, do some sort of physical exercise. This exercise is not with the focus of getting you in shape, but rather getting rid of this cold. As such, you should barely get above the intensity you would reach during a warm up or cool down. Just enough to stimulate your body.
EVENING: After your exercise and a nice long shower or bath, prepare a nice relaxing dinner for yourself, complete with wine and dessert, and prepare a movie to watch, preferably something not very intense or dramatic. Stretch out and get comfortable, and enjoy your dinner and movie, don’t worry about any things that might normally plague your mind at this time of day.
NIGHT: Now as you finish the movie, or perhaps some good TV, you may wonder what else to do to recover from this nasty ailment. Truth be told, you’ve done almost everything you can. As final parting words to remember, keep in mind that chamomile tea and hot chocolate are your best friends. If at any time (apart from during your physical exercise) you become thirsty, instead of water or juice, instead reach for a nice hot mug of hot chocolate or chamomile tea. Both are soothing to the soul and relaxing to the mind. Also, if the weather is warm and hot chocolate or tea seems like it would make you unnecessarily hot, then instead consider iced tea or chocolate milk as substitutes.
And one last thing to remember, above all else: sleep is your friend. While you’re recovering from a cold, that should be your number one priority, and as such you should make no excuses for getting inadequate amounts of sleep. Ideal amounts range from 10-14 hours, but individual preferences vary. Good luck recovering, and remember that it’s all in your head: convince your body you’re not sick and it will soon follow suit!

Just remember, it is better to give than to receive. of course this does only apply to colds and deadly viruses |
