new melody synths for fruityloops 3 and 4.1

| Hey guys! I'm getting tired of using shorts 3 and 4 or ts404 to make melody synths for fruityloops 3 or 4. With flanging, reverb, delay, and parametric eq it gets kind of boring as you make songs...i was wondering if anyone had any ideas for some energetic melody synths and how to make the melody feel more FULL as opposed to jsut simple...i really like hte melody synth of static blue vs luuk maes - meaning of ice (original). ANy hints or ideas ? thnx |

well, it sounds to me like he doesn't know what a VSTi is. That is perfectly understandable. I didn't even know what one was until TA came along, and just look what I can do with them now. ;)
A VSTi is a virtual instrument that sounds 10x better then the ty synths that FruityLoops comes with and can run in FL just like the TS404 or 3xOSC.
On the top of the production studio forum is a thread that says "The Best VSTi Synths" click there and you will find a list of some of the really good synths.
Superwave P8 is a great (free) VSTi for trance. But if you want to spend some money, I recommend Vangaurd since it's only $80. But if money isn't really an issue, I would get Atmosphere. It's sample based so most of the instruments on it sounds 10x better than anything I've heard from a VSTi. |

Also, Synth1 (google it) is great for all purpose stuff (leads to pads to basses), though not as fat.
Some of the demos, namely the pro-53 and vaz, are perfectly useable in songs, you just have to close and reopen the song and reprogram the patch every 20 minutes. Solution: make the song with a fake patch, program it at the last minute. |

the synth in meaning of ice is coming from the v-station i think (can be vanguard though) |
