Firstly, The remix is not half assed. It actually has nice fleshy cheeks. Very squeezable...er..listenable, I mean.
Secondly, It's far from dull. It's nice and punchy. Very good. And I don't exactly understand why have you thrown in the comment of it suffering from "variety" issues. Or, are you trying ot say...it's Chable who lacks variable remixing skills, and that all his remixes sound the same? |

It does in my ears. The usual chug-beat, the usual whirp whoosh FX, the usual bass etc. Only thing that stands out is the FX he has used on the vocals, which is far from enuff to carry a tune for about 8 minutes.

Punch is exactly what this tune lacks. It has NOTHING that stands out to grab you and spin your head around, no fresh and edgy elements, no good hooks, nothing. And with variety issues I mean the fact that it actually does something instead of chugging along in the same dull vein for 8 minutes. |
