Don't you think it's unfair how most of the best music out there is electronic yet electronica is one of the least recognised genres on Radio/T.V?
maybe if older people (30's 40's 50's) were exposed to it more they would be educated enough on the subject to not say things like:
"why do you like that thumpy-thumpy zappy-zap music?"
coz that just s me...
what do you think? |

That's what we think in our own minds. Most people would disagree with this notion. |

Least recognised? There's a lot more electronic music than you imagine when you watch TV. Countless times I've heard stuff from the Prodigy, Fatboy Slim... as I recall it, I've even heard a tune from Adam Beyer once in the news because of some documentary.
As for the US, I know many channels do play EDM, from Nickelodeon to CNN. |

| Also, so many commercials have electronica in it, so you can't say it's completely "hidden." |

As I've said before, this music is not for everyone.
Period. |

I'm not an american... but anyway I wasnt referring to music videos or anything of the sort.. just ADs for albums. I have never ever ever ever seen an ad on TV for a trance album.
There must be some of you guys that hate how moderately-old people say that they cant understand our music
I thought that I would get at least +100 saying how they hate that |

| Who cares what people think about the music you listen to? |

it matters to me simply because my folks are always saying "its too repetitve" when i'm listening to something like 'eple' by 'Royksopp'
which obviously has structure and variation
"it just... it JUST.... *Vain pops* ....s Me!" |

No way is electronica a hidden genre!! Its everywhere....you just might not realis it. There is so much electronica in commercials, TV shows, in the background when people are talking on the radio etc etc
There is a difference between being recognised, and mainstream.
I wouldn't say that electronica is mainstream, but i wouldn't say that its hidden either. |
