Hey,
First of all I don't wanna make flame war. I just don't understand why a few of people are talking about Armin's downfall. I have been in the scene since '98. I have listened to almost all the ASOTS. Instead of boring I would say it is rather diverse. Of course not every part is good. You say he always promotes the same labels, I would say it is not right. What about new stuffs in 2003: stuffs from gabriel&dresden, markus schulz, envio, recluse (greetz espen:))... It is either not true that he plays that boring chessy stuffs. What about lemon8, holden, outback, LSG, Sasha etc ?.
Think about it.
Furthermore it may not count for you, but he is the 3rd on the DJ Mag list. Last year he was the 5th.
So come on Armin , you will get here, you will be 1st !
Respect my opinion I respect yours, peace, |

| Lots of people like Armin, lots of people don't like him, even more people don't even have a clue who he is. I wouldn't get worried about what others think. |

| although lately I have adopted the ways of progressive, I must admitt that Armin when it comes to Trance is head and heels above the rest! He truly captures the essence of Trance music and has not changed his style to suit trends and transformations which I respect him the most for. Keep it up Armin, you will rightfully claim your number 1 spot ;) |

Because they are miserable and have nothing better to do. |

Yay Armin is going sky high, global trance for everybody :toothless
He's definetly the best! No chart needed to know it.
He's putting so much work into everything he does, ASOT, label, gigs, it doesn't "just happen". It's a great party for all us Armin-addicts. |

I think you'll find he has, with proggresive becoming more popular (or at least it seems to me) within a wider audience now, armin has started incorporating a lot more prog into his sets than he used to, could be due to the emergence of Markus Schulz' popularity and his status within the Armada camp, but either way armin has changed. |

If you read some of his interviews he's saying exactly that.
Armin himself acknowledged the change in trance music,
tunes that we call true trance like Communication, Aria etc.,
aren't hype anymore, except for a small group of followers,
I still listen to those tunes too of course, but compared to
tunes coming out today those seem like out of time.
He's just adapted into new trance-progressive sound which
is faster but not more melodic.
Personally I can't decide which I like more,
but you got to live in the present. |
