Very true. His set at Space after Ultra started with some oldies, like U2 and Southern Sun (which really pleased the fans) and then exploded. If you ask me, he's trying too hard, although he still jammed, but its not what made him big. Still a good show, nonetheless. Enjoy! |

I heard for the bigger events he just kinda does whatever, but with the smaller club events he tears the roof off. Guess you can get more intimate with the club.
Seeing how the "biggest club" in Hawaii would be considered a crackhouse to amnesia, gatecrasher, twilo, aria, glow, etc, this gives me high hopes :D
Can anyone confirm?
Of course Oakey knows how to mix, and his track selection is superb, but the guy wasn't/isn't very innovative in style, say the way Zabiela is.
As much as I wish it would be like his '99 EM days, I hope it'll at least be decent and not his piss poor play some tracks and dig out with the money gigs. |

well yeah his trying his best which i really respect. he's always unique in my opinion. alot of ppl went "WTF?!?!" when he did his starry eye surprise track feat. crazy town.
i thought that was brilliant . . thinkin how the hell did he get soo recognised and big in the pop scene with one track. he didn't do that track to please his trance fans thats for sure. but yest its his right to diverse and experiment, these are like personnal challenges, know wut m saying??
