as i'm away on sunday for 2 weeks of sun, I've decided to buy myself a nice new pair of sunglasses once i get out there as prices are favourable, but I was wondering if anybody had recommendations to good brands as in lastability and if anyone has bad stories about a model/brand to share & help me get a good pair :)

Hon, if you're anything like me, the best advice to follow would be to buy a couple of pairs of cheap sunglasses. It never fails, I lose or break every single pair of sunglasses I buy. I buy about 20 pair a year.

hehe

Ive broken three pairs of oakleys all different types even their 300 dollar titanium .

Im sportin Hobie Turbos now, and I like they way they sit. Probably the best feeling glasses ive worn.

I used to buy nice sunglasses, but then you worry about them. like if youre on the beach you worry that if you leave them on your towel someone will steal them.

now i buy from the designer kiosks in the mall. you get stuff that looks designer, but its cheap, so if you break them, lose them, have them fall off of your head into a urinal, then you dont have to care.

hehehe i know what you mean, i've found a pair last year when I was over there at €60 which isn't bad, not too expensive, not too cheap (i had a cheap pair last year which broke so easily... bastard things)

I've had a pair of Oakley Scar's for almost 3 years now, and love them. They still fit perfectly no scratches either. I would recommend them, but they might not be your style.

Not the only color they come in, but thats the ones i have.

get the same kind as yahel.

i prefer my Oakley Juliet's, simply due to the fact i dont get tan lines on my face. plasma/fire

those are horrible..would you be driving around with that headset or walking in the street with it? they look pretty uncomfortable..

I bought these when they first came out like in 1999/2000 and had the same pair ever since.

I changed the lens to this color recently though, i became bored.

anyways they are really good sunglasses. Ive worn them in the beach with waves crashing over me, pools, everything and they have never ed up. If you take good care of them they will last more than a cheap pair of sunglasses, so you save more in the long run

Im an Oakley guy
Ive had 3 pairs, currently still have 2, and one is lost somewhere in Germany

I have A frames, and I love em. They break, send em back to Oakley, they fix them.
However, they are 6 years old and the lenses are pretty beat up.

I also have a pair Twentys. these are the best. I had fives(lost pair) but they were always falling off my head...the 20s take care of that. Love em. 3 years old, still mint.
