I wish there was a place to sit on the main level, in view of the DJ, that wasn't VIP only. If I go, I'll have to sweet talk my way into VIP again

I have to leave for work at 6 am so there is not a snowball's chance in hell you will see me out on a thursday night.
Just got my ticket at Gramaphone for 11 dollas. And I only bought one vinyl today. So I still paid more than I saved....sigh.
Oh ya.....Tom and Nick I will have both yer earplugs with me. Cost of them can be repaid in tall captain and cokes. :D

EDIT: and for all of you who keep saying you never can find parking by gramaphone.......hehe...4:45 PM I got the spot right in front of the door, did not even have to go around the block or anything. Sigh....I am excited about a good parking spot....someone needs to shoot me. |

:haha: i actually checked out seb at sound-bar. wasn't really a fan before and went in there with no expectations. was pretty surprised by the energy and size of the crowd on a thursday. i think the mainfloor was just as packed if not more than any other friday night i've been, but the elevated floor next to seb was pretty lacking. i actually liked seb and would probably go out to see him again.
btw...i got in with jeans, a solid T, and diesels. for those making the trip tonite, i guess it wouldn't hurt to bring "club attire" and leave it in the car in case they give you any trouble.and they weren't activating sound-cards last nite, supposedly tonite is the last nite :rolleyes:

Great times! LG put on a great show. The vibe was cool and overall a great, fun night. Big up's to all TA's who came out that night!

| great night! LG spun a good variety of music and had me going most of the night. had i not gone out on thursday, i probably would've moved nonstop. so i was pretty much just hanging out the last hour or so. thanks to mrsquirrel to pointing out princess, ninja_k, and djtk2a to me. gave me a short second wind :happy2: at least now i know a few CTAs and i don't have to walk around clueless at the next meetup :stongue: |

No problemo on the pointing people directions...everyone seems to know the squirrel on sight heh.
As to the going out night before....a lot of us who were at Vision tonight were feeling the same way. I was too tired to do much but be a wallflower, though Szmurlo & Sanchez played a great opening set and Emerson was laying down some great tunes and obviously having a good time.
I had a great time at Laurent. (Since my post abotu it was lost in the "accident") I have some vids I will post in a day or two...one of the Nirvana tune at the end.

Had a great time at Laurent - but left around 3 am due to being tired - started drinking at 8 pm and was pretty f*cked up by 12:30 - surprised I made it that long. So - to the ones that tried to talk to me - sorry that it was gibberish. Good to see so many CTA's out - nice to see familiar faces.
The lights in Sound Bar were killing my eyes - anyone else notice this? I kept having to hide my eyes from the damn flashing lights.
Oh yeah - to the jackass that yelled at me at coatcheck - I'm sorry but I didn't recognize you and that was so uncool to start yelling at me and making a ing scene. It has to be someone from TA, because I know that my other friends from another message wouldn't be such douche bags. |

seriously, this was a stellar show. I got there a little late (and parked way too far away. quite the adventure over to soundbar) From 1:30 forward it was *on*... The earplugs really helped too. My ears didnt' even ring on saturday when I woke up... yea! I don't know if I'm the biggest fan of soundbar, kinda hard to move around in there... but oh well. still a good show. Good to see everyone out! Lookin forward to Way out west next week. |

I had a great time at LG too. He put together a great set ranging from house to a few breaks tracks and some techno. And even a Nirvana song too. It was Lithium right? I really had a good time and it was nice to meet everything0 and JMC, Mark and Jim right?
As far as Soundbar goes..theres things that are nice and of course things that I dont care for. Like Nick said its kinda hard to get around especially if its crowded, or maybe its just not a big room place so it feels cramped. Either way I warmed up to it fairly quick. But the sound and lights and video stuff are really good.
Sorry to princess about the dude who was yellin at ya..Nick, Steve, and I can give him a swirly next time if ya point him out:D |

Seriously, this guy was totally harassing me and the coat check guy couldn't believe that he wasn't a friend. At first, the coat check guy thought this dude was just playing with me, but when I turned to the guy and said "I'm sorry, I don't know who you are and will you please stop yelling at me" the coat check guy asked if I needed any help. I just took my jacket and ran to the front door. Men like that should be shot IMO. :whip: |
