5AM has developed a fine reputation over the past 12 months as Melbourne's premiere uplifting trance crew. Uplifting trance seemed to be shuffled into the background over recent years, but the popularity of Armin Van Buuren, Tiesto, Paul Van Dyk and Ferry Corsten still suggests that uplifting trance has a wide appeal.

The 5AM crew play the freshest upfront tunes, so you don't have to wait for an international artists hitting our shore to hear this music. They are dedicated to giving new talent a go, and a number of DJs have received their first opportunity with 5AM to emerge from the bedroom and onto the pro circuit.

A number of their DJs have made a mark on the local scene, playing at major clubs and events around town. Steve Strangis, Julian Reynolds, Reemo, Albert Mangler, Miss Mel, Charlie Zee, Dave Begic and Chris Pana are developing a fine reputation.

This Friday the 5AM DJ's hook up with the Kandy kidz to add some uplifting beats, bass and melodies to HK's balls-to-the-wall, hard edged soundz.

Simon Eve is Label manager and A&R for React Music and Recharge, and a key artist of the Eve Records/Recover Group of labels where he was previously label manager and A&R for several successful years.

An established international DJ, 2003 saw Simon play at many leading nights such as Sundissential, Dance Academy and Insomniacz, as well as overseas dates at the legendary Dance Valley events in Holland and tours of each Japan and Australia. He is also one of the busiest producers in trance an Hard dance, with over a dozen 12" releases and 2 mix CD's to his name in 2003 alone.

The Kandy Kollective is very pleased to present the man himslef for one exclusive Melbourne show at HK this Friday.
