I just got started mixing (3 weeks ago) and I'm having a lot of fun! Anyway, I need to get some new vinyl but don't know what to get since there's so many songs out there. The type of style I'm looking for are:
Timo Maas - Trichter Musik <--- Love this one!
The Auranaut - People Need to be Wanted
I'm looking to get about 8 or so more trance records. Nothing cheesy. :) Any recommendations?
This is my first post! Woohoo! |

Go to the record store and tell them exactly what you just asked us.
the record shop owner will know exactly what you want.....and if yuo know a song you want yet you dont know the name, 9 times out of 10 he'll know what it is.
Most likely the'll give you the tracks that will be 'BangiN' at the clubs in the PHUTURE

true that liquid. when i started mixing i bought my records at world records in alhambra, ca (which may be near you bryant) and those dudes kinda figured out what style i liked and made good recommendations. they don't have too much trance though. check out melrose. this is music is a great store and very helpful. there are a whole bunch of other shops on melrose. if you want i'll let you know when i plan on record hunting up there and i'll meet up with ya or something. peace!

haha...I don't know about that....when I first started getting into Dance music....before it was turntablism.....I had no idea what to get....I asked the guy at my store that I want deep dark and hard Dance music...HE gave me all this progressive house ...like Moody records and such....lol Moral of this story is that it depends what the record shop specilizes in.....If it's a House shop..then don't expect to come out with Trance vinyl...lol You will get whatever the guy sells you. |
