OK everyone i have this idea, it comes basically from the dutch forums.
thing is here is you post your tunes you wanne promote or get feedback on it, but from my personal view is when i see a topic with someones tunes i ALWAYS assume that the tune is finished and done and you are satified with the sequenced product and the synths you took etc..(il leave mastering out of this)
yet sometimes you see a tune, its shallow or does not sound right or empty feel etc, and you comment on it and you get the reply its not finished yet, or not done etc. i also see people posting unfinished tunes occasionlly to get some feedback to have some more ideas on what to improve.
Now i ain't against that, but how can you promote something that aint finished yet? or expect decent feedback, some people wont even download your tune if you post it's not finished yet, will all think will wait when its finished, means sometimes good tunes wont be heard.
i also don't like it to see tunes on the production studio that arn't finished, because if you think about it, production studio is bit more about how to produce, use fx, samples everything that makes you able to produce.
Now my idea was if we make 1 topic, were you can post your Unfinished stuff, even 1 minute samples i don't really care, if you are doubting a melody you made or synths you took, anything before you consider your tune finished, we post it on 1 topic in the promotion section, and if people want they can check it out..this way we don't ruin the layout of the forum imo, this section should contain only FINISHED stuff.
please dont see this as an insult it's just an idea and would like to discuss, and maybe some feedback from the moderators of what they think
discuss.
