is this thing safe enough to check on the plane?
i'm thinking about shipping it ups...

That thing is low grade quality.

I would be careful what I do with it. If you're going to take it on an airplane; I say put it in a box.

It doesn't have aluminum bars on the sides; paneling is weak; and doesn't have strong closing clips.

it's actually pretty solid... but anyway I'm leaning towards
sending it ups right now... it's gonna weigh 110 pounds with
the decks in it and that would overweight on the airplane anyway.

On plane you can bring as many package as you want they just have to be 35 kilogram or less. ( About 75 pound ) After that you have some extra charge but it not that much. So I suggest you take out either one table out of it.

( That was with SwissAir can't tell the other compagny never took them )

well generally there is a baggage limit ... like 6 or something; but in most cases you rarely go over. It's just the weight you need to look at.
