View this Thread in Original format

I have an upgraded DJ system in mind and I was wondering what a good effects processor would be.

Turntables: Technics SL-1210 M5Gs
Mixer: Pioneer DJM500
CD Player: Numark CDN90

If anyone could reccomend a fitting, high-end effects processor I would appricate it =).
chesco
the korg kaoss pad

or the pioneer efx-500

the djm-500 has an on board effects unit but it has very limited use imo.
C3sharp
thanks, the effects on the djm500 aren't that bad, but I'd much rather have something fore versitle.
Prodigy Child
Whats everyones take on the AirFX, I know its hard to make the same effect twice, but is it good and fun to use, don't surpose anybody has a video or a link to a video of one in action??.

Hey M8!

Take a look at this page:

http://www.djmart.com/efpr.html

range from $79.00 to $15,000.00 for effects processors, make your pick, though I recommend digitech S200 or quad 4x4, or Lexicon MPX110, and then email me [email protected] for special TA prices, include where Items are to be shipped with zip code and specific brand and model number(s).

Cheers...

Correct me if I'm wrong but the Kaosspad on the picture is the first one... There's Kaosspad 2 now, it looks excellent to me, haven't tried it though.

And holy crap $15k for an effects processor... For 15k it better mix by itself and choose the best effect for the purpose, while receiving audience comments verbally and adjusting properly!!!

Based on Decades of Innovation For nearly thirty years, the world's most accomplished engineers and producers have relied upon Lexicon for their most critical music and sound productions. To satisfy these discriminating media professionals and to meet the new demands of today's increasingly complex sound content, Lexicon introduces a new generation of digital audio signal processing technology with the new 960L Multi-Channel Digital Effects System.

About 3DPM

A Technology Platform for a New Millenium Designed specifically for the professional audio, broadcasting, film, post-production and live sound markets, the 960L utilizes a bold new technology platform. it will redefine world-class reverberation with a totally new paradigm of intelligent software algorithms based upon 3DPM™ Technology (3D Perceptual Modeling). This new breakthrough technology introduces entirely new acoustic environments based upon recent critical research on how the human brain perceives complex sounds. Lexicon's 3DPM not only allows sound designers to create the most realistic sounding acoustic environments ever, it also allows for the creation of new and unheard of spaces!

Ready for Anything You Can Throw At It

The 960L is capable of full 24-bit/96kHz performance and the factory standard I/O configuration boasts 8 channels of XLR-balanced analog audio as well as full AES/EBU digital I/O in a 4-unit, rack-mounting CPU mainframe. If you don't like it, just ignore it. The original poster is obviously going to purchase a piece of equipment...it's relevant. And not all of us are loaded with cash so we appreciate any discounts we can get. We're lucky to have a fellow TA who can provide us with discounts just for being a TA member.

Psiweaver
What if you changed that mixer to an Allen and Heath xone 62 or 92 still the same effects processors.
